Irish moved to Charlottetown, PEI in 2008. “This Island creates music and musicians, art and artists. I found a shift to take things more seriously when I moved here.” And she did just that.
Her latest release, Little Bones, gained her global recognition, a 2020 JUNO nomination for Contemporary Roots Album, seven Music PEI 2020 nominations and two wins, and a Canadian Folk Music nomination. Her previous album, Irish Mythen, garnered her multiple nominations and awards. Articles in Australian Guitar Magazine, Rolling Stone and a plethora of media world-wide have helped plant Irish firmly on the map of Must-See Artists.
As one fan says, “I’ve been blessed with seeing and hearing a lot of talented musicians in my life, but I have never experienced anyone quite like Irish Mythen. She is a force of nature and a gift from the Almighty Herself”.
Closing out Sunday night.
