Organized by the City of Mission, you can be part of our recycled orchestra! Mission’s Musical Mastermind, the incomparable Boris Sichon, will lead you through creating a musical instrument from recycled materials, learning how to play your instrument, and be part of a Recychestra performance at the Mission Folk Music Festival! This is a free program, everyone is welcome to be part of the orchestra! Parent participation required for attendees under 10.

The 2nd Annual Bow by the River Fiddle Camp will be held at St. Andrews United Church in Mission, from July 24-25 2024. As part of a partnership with Mission Folk Music Festival, a day stage will feature students of the camp during the Folk Festival on Saturday, July 27, 2024! Instructors, 3X Grand Master Fiddle Champion Mark Sullivan, and Jennie Bice will host intensive workshop instruction and jam sessions from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. for kids, youth, and adults with a minimum of one-year fiddle experience.

What you can expect at the festival:
three nights & two days of music and dance
artists from across Canada and around the world
five stages with concerts, dances, workshops, and jams
artisan market, food court, beer garden, wee folks activities, camping

Open Mic Night @ The Historic Dewdney Pub

Hosted by festival favourites Michael Jantzen and Tony Ivan O’Hara, the community is welcome to join in this weekly jam – held every Thursday from 6:30 to 9:30pm. Special monthly guests are sponsored by Mission Folk!
