This Young Artist Showcase is the culmination of a lot of hard work! Performers have completed the Youth Open Stage program which encourages young people to practice, hone, and perform their singing and songwriting skills in a safe and inclusive public place. In this community-based program, youth are led through a series of educational workshops covering a variety of performance arts skills such as technical production, instrumentation, stagecraft, vocal coaching, and songwriting. The program culminates in public performances in the community – including their special concert at Mission Folk! This year’s student participants will be joined by their instructors, Mark and Karen Humpage of MarKaren Music.
