Ground Effect is Vancouver’s newest contradance band, presenting both perennial favourites and original tunes in energetic arrangements that will cause liftoff. The core players are leader, Prairie Wolfe (fiddle, podorythmie), with Claire McCague (woodwinds, triangle) – but special guests have been known to join in. Ground Effect hit the dance floors of the lower mainland in September of 2022, and have since been the cause of kicked-up heels on both sides of the border.
