A hit at virtual MFMF 2021, Shred Kelly returns live to the festival stage this year to kick your blood flow up at least a notch or two! The band is a five piece, alternative folk rock band that emerged from Fernie, in the heart of the Canadian Rockies in 2009. They’ve taken their dynamic show from humble beginnings on the Canadian ski-town circuit to the international stage – and now, in person, to Mission.
The band’s striking and energy-packed sound has evolved from their eclectic musical influences, unique experiences and individual backgrounds. Their progressive pairing of acoustic instrumentation with electric counterparts, harmonies, and driving rhythm continues to reach new heights.
Over the years, the band has performed across Canada and internationally at festivals such as Germany’s Reeperbahn Festival, Australian Music Week and SXSW. Their latest album Like A Rising Sun (2020) is the group’s fifth offering – an outpouring of explosive, fast-paced and anthemic folk rock.
