Robert Sarazin Blake is one of Bellingham’s finest songwriters and performers, and an all-round interesting guy with insightful things to say.
In 1997, he dropped out of college and hit the road. The folk music of his father’s house combined with the DIY punk ethos of the day and produced his first album, Another Irrelevant Year.
Since then, over the last 20 years, he has released 12 albums of original songs and toured across the US, Canada, Ireland, Germany and beyond, performing concerts to small groups in small rooms. His 2017 album Recitative received an A- from rock critic, Robert Christgau.
From The Kitchen Table is Blake’s weekly livestream/podcast/radio show. Each week a guest from around the world joins Robert at the kitchen table to swap songs and stories. And the four singles he’s released since 2018 have documented the political and the personal realities of pandemic life.
